Basics: Learning Your Gear

Have you just purchased your first DSLR camera (or received it as a gift) and have no idea what all of the buttons do or even mean? Would you like to control your camera instead of letting it decide what your focus point should be?  This will be a one day basic class to go over general definitions and basic functions of your camera starting at 9 AM and ending at 4 PM. We will start our morning with class time to learn definitions and how to generally get around your camera's menus.  At 11 AM we will break for lunch for an hour where we will chit chat about what we've learned and relax.  Around 12:30 PM (weather permitting) we will put what we've learned that morning into action as we take a quick field trip to UT Gardens.  Here I will show you why midday is a bad time for a session, and what you can do to make the best out of it.  At 3 PM we will come back to the studio where I will upload my images and do a quick preview of how I manage workflow and edit.
